Meet Lydia

The Founder of Lounique Hair

Lydia's journey with hair care started with the vibrant atmosphere of her household, bustling with the energy of her four sisters and brother. In a home where hair care was both a necessity and a financial challenge, Lydia took it upon herself to assist her mother in styling her siblings' hair.

At the young age of 15, Lydia created her first masterpiece: a meticulously crafted wig, installed with love on her brother. Fueled by her creativity and unwavering determination, she delved into the realm of wigs, sourcing only the highest quality hair to meet the diverse needs of her friends and family.

As her expertise grew, Lydia quickly became the preferred stylist within her social circle, renowned for her ability to empower others through transformative hair experiences.

From these humble beginnings, Lounique Hair was born as a fusion of 'Lou' from Lydia’s french name and 'Unique', reflecting her Congolese heritage and the individuality she infuses into every style. Today, Lydia continues to weave her magic, offering expert services across United Kindom, America and France.
